A suburban man was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting on Chicago’s North Side last December.

A 46-year-old man driving about 4 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of North Sacramento Boulevard was shot in the head and was hospitalized in critical condition, Chicago police said. No one is in custody.
