Lamine Yamal will switch to the No. 10 jersey at Barcelona, the same number Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi wore for the Catalan club.

"Lamine Yamal will be wearing the coveted No. 10 jersey for FC Barcelona next season. On the day that he signed his extended contract until 2031, the player who recently turned 18, received the shirt bearing the famous number from president Joan Laporta", the club announced.

Lamine Yamal says that Barcelona is the “club of his life” after being named as the Spanish side’s new No 10. Barcelona have announced that Yamal, who turned 18 on Sunday, will now don the iconic No 10 shirt, which was recently vacated by Ansu Fati, who joined Monaco on loan last month.
