Novak Djokovic has returned to Roland-Garros with a 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Mackie McDonald in the first round.

He, like many players, thinks the French Open is making a mistake by eschewing the electronic line-calling used at most big tennis tournaments and instead remaining old school by letting line judges decide whether serves or other shots land in or out.

As his tennis contemporaries continue to head off into retirement, Novak Djokovic is being faced with the reality that his time on the professional courts, too, will come to an end.
