Person airlifted after shark attack on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) — At around noon on Wednesday, Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue (HHIFR) responded to a medical emergency involving a possible shark bite. Shore Beach Services and HHIFR provided on-scene care and determined the injury was non-life-threatening. The person was later airlifted to Savannah for medical care.
