Streaming service Max has officially changed its name to HBO Max once more. What does that mean for the average viewer?

Warner Bros. Discovery has revealed the two new corporate entities for when the media company splits in mid-2026, but it has me worried about Discovery+.

The change comes two years after Warner Bros. Discovery rebranded what was then HBO Max to Max following a merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery to form WBD in 2022.
