Google is preparing to upgrade the kernel version of all Tensor-powered Pixels to Linux 6.1 in Android 15 QPR2.

Google is developing a Linux terminal app for Android. The Terminal app can be enabled via developer options and will install Debian in a virtual machine.

Lindroid is a new open source app that lets you install a GNU/Linux distro on an Android device and run Linux applications with full support for your phone’s hardware.

Although Android already has a sandboxed Linux terminal available, this Google model will be geared toward developers.
