The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has taken to social media to clarify that Costco cards do not count as REAL ID, in an effort to clear up confusion following the implementation of new laws last month.

In a June 4 post, the TSA debunked long-standing rumors on social media and warned people that Costco membership cards do not qualify as a REAL ID. “We love hotdogs and rotisserie chickens as much as the next person but please stop telling people their Costco card counts as a REAL ID because it absolutely does not,” the TSA said.
