Along with "TRL" and its Video Music Awards, "Unplugged" is one of MTV's major contributions to the music industry, and it really should cherish it more.

It's hard to imagine a voice more equipped to puff new life into "MTV Unplugged" than Florence Welch's, but the series' stripped-back approach doesn't do her any favors.

So when Florence took her Machine to MTV Unplugged and laid her vocals bare to demonstrate their true unproduced ability, she was taking a risk. Unfortunately it didn't entirely pay off.
