Following rumors and speculation of a dedicated Xbox hardware, we finally have confirmation of the ROG Xbox Ally X from ASUS. During the June 8th Xbox Games Showcase, we had the official confirmation of what we originally reported back in March.

Microsoft and Asus have partnered on two new handheld consoles that take the best bits of an Xbox and merge it with the former's ROG Ally series of handhelds.

Microsoft and Asus have been collaborating closely on these two new Xbox Ally devices over the past year, and Yen says Microsoft and Asus “share a joint obsession” on these new handhelds.
