After nearly five years, Fortnite is finally returning to Apple’s App Store, but only for iPhone and iPad users in the US, at least for now. This comes after a long legal battle between Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, and Apple.
Apple's developer website states that most apps are reviewed in about a day, but Sweeney claims Apple hasn't responded at all in almost a week.
Fortnite 's available on iOS in the US again, with Epic and Apple's legal tussle over it seemingly having concluded, at least for now. Epic Games has at least managed to get one of the outcomes it wanted out of all the hoohah, and its CEO has reponded as only he could - by letting all know we're his "fam".
“ Fortnite ” has officially returned to the iOS App Store in the U.S.. The news came on Tuesday afternoon via a post on the official X account for the Epic Games shooter. “Fortnite is BACK on the App Store in the U.S. on iPhones and iPads… and on the Epic Games Store and AltStore in the E.U!,” read the post. “It’ll show up in Search soon!”
The Fortnite X account posted: "Apple has blocked our Fortnite submission so we cannot release to the US App Store or to the Epic Games Store for iOS in the European Union. Now, sadly, Fortnite on iOS will be offline worldwide until Apple unblocks it."
