As highlighted earlier by our friends at the NOAA NWS Ocean Prediction Center, GOES-16 imagery this afternoon caught a great look at a strong low pressure system rapidly deepening over the Western Atlantic as it drifts off to sea. Significant marine impacts are expected with this system, including hurricane-force winds and seas up to 40 feet.
