Southwest Airlines, which used to let passengers choose seats at boarding, has announced several changes in recent months, including assigned seats and new fees for checked bags. Because of that, they are changing the interiors of their planes to accommodate the new seating plans and give travelers more overhead bin space. Crews from the Florida Department of Transportation arrived in Miami Beach for the removal of the city’s famed rainbow crosswalk on Ocean Drive, a move ordered by state authorities after Miami Beach lost its appeal to keep the artwork. The airport public transit saga finishes with my least favorite New York area airport: EWR. I will admit that this journey took me almost an hour and half (from Jersey to Brooklyn), but an uber would have cost me over $70 and that’s simply not in my budget! The NJ transit train was $17 from Newark to NY Penn Station and then a $2.90 subway fare, so I saved over $50.
