The Fort Sill Fires Department recently training on vehicle extraction. Interesting fact the jaws of life weighs 70lbs! In any automobile extrication, typically they “remove the car from the victim in the majority of the situations”. Now, if the car was on fire or the patient is not breathing, then theywill do an emergency removal due to their condition, but the majority of the times, we carefully remove the car from around the patient to provide them the most protection before removal. #FireDep
