On February 25, 1854, Sacramento became the State Capital of California. Previously, Monterey, San Jose, Vallejo, and Benicia served as capitals. In honor of today, Jared discussed the history of California’s capitals while letterpress printing an electrotype (copy of a woodcut) of our State Capitol building today.
